Reigniting the beverage industry through the launch of eBev Trade

Financial support for an industry under pressure

eBev.com – Australia’s largest online beverage ordering platform – announces the launch of eBev Trade, a trade credit service offering cost efficiencies plus a much-needed cash boost to a struggling industry. Guaranteeing payment to suppliers within 3 days, eBev Trade will reduce credit risk and enable redirection of resources to business growth activities for beverage suppliers.

Launched in 2015, eBev boasts the most extensive online beverage catalogue in Australia and has become the online hub for distributors, producers, importers, brewers and major wholesalers to showcase and sell their products to Australia’s biggest groups such as Australian Venue Co. and Rockpool Dining.

With the launch of eBev Trade as a service to its users, eBev builds on its heritage of order management with the addition of credit and payment capabilities. eBev and its finance solutions partner, will take over responsibility for managing all invoicing and collection processes while guaranteeing payment to suppliers within 3 days.

Ian Harris, CEO of eBev has said, “After the challenges of 2020, it is imperative for suppliers to maximise the upcoming Summer and festive season.
Imagine reducing costs and risk, plus having all the cash from your November and December orders in your bank before New Year.
Suppliers can now do this with eBev Trade.

How does it work for venues? eBev Trade provides a single creditor option for its venues, reducing the need to open and manage accounts with multiple suppliers. Instead they will be able to purchase from multiple suppliers in a single order on a single account, with their suppliers being paid within 3 days. Flexible payment options also mean venue clientele can take advantage of upfront payment or settle with a single payment on 30-day terms, without the requirement for direct debit. As an added bonus, eBev is offering Cash for Christmas – a sign on incentive of $50 off each of the first 3 orders through eBev Trade – if enrol before December 31st, 2020.

Mr Harris says, “The purpose of eBev Trade is to enable more efficient trading relationships between venues and beverage suppliers. Our experience, size and scale mean eBev is uniquely positioned in terms of our understanding and capability to deliver on this opportunity to make a genuine positive impact in the industry. To support the launch, eBev is offering a Fast Starter Bonus to reward suppliers that are early supporters of this initiative.”

Hospitality has been one of the sectors hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. After forced closures of restaurants, bars and pubs and now with strict operating guidelines in place, businesses on both sides of the supply chain are having to become leaner and more efficient in their operations. The addition of eBev Trade to the current eBev platform creates the largest end-to-end online marketplace for Australia’s 38,000 licensed venues to discover, order and pay for all of their beverage products in one place, thus delivering significant process efficiencies, cost savings and cash flow benefits to the whole industry.

With over 65,000 products from 650 suppliers all together in one free, easy to use, mobile responsive platform, eBev has already transformed the way the trading relationship between licensed venues and their beverage suppliers operates. Now, with centralised trade credit, added to a unified digital community of buyers and sellers, eBev Trade will empower the industry further by supporting all players – producers, suppliers, distributors & venues – to not only survive, but to thrive.
